Your Mac should know it's you.

Canvas ID looks for your face the moment your Mac wakes, recognizes you, and unlocks the session. No typing passwords, no reaching for Touch ID, no interrupting what you were doing.

It lives quietly in your menu bar and doesn't appear until you need it.

Everything happens on your Mac.

Face recognition is processed locally, on your own machine. There's no account to create, no cloud to sync with, nothing that leaves your Mac. Your face is stored as an encrypted mathematical fingerprint — never as a photo — and your password is encrypted and unlocked with Touch ID. You can delete both from settings, whenever you want.

Built for how you actually use your Mac.

The scan animation appears around the notch, as if it had always been part of the system. Enroll more than one profile — with glasses, without glasses, in different lighting — and it recognizes you in all of them. Don't want the animation? Turn it off and Canvas ID becomes invisible.
